Rollover To Zoom
Sauvage's Upstate Cinnamon is a special-batch flavored vodka distilled from 70 to 80 New York State apples per bottle at their Schoharie County farm distillery, then infused with real cinnamon bark. Small-batch, gluten-free, OK Kosher and KFP.
Mood: warm, autumnal, orchard.
A Sukkah-night pour. Warm it up in cider, drop it into hot coffee, or sip neat when the Catskill air turns crisp. Kosher for Pesach means it also plays after the seder.
Tasting Notes
Baked apple, cinnamon stick, and a whisper of vanilla on the nose. The palate is soft and gently sweet, with orchard-fresh apple, warm cinnamon spice, and a touch of caramel. The finish is clean and rounded, spice glowing gently rather than burning.
Food Pairing
Made for a Sukkos hot toddy: two ounces over hot cider with a cinnamon stick. Also excellent in coffee after a heavy Shabbos meal, over vanilla ice cream, or in an autumn martini. Neat, chilled, as a digestif.
