Photo for reference. Vintage may differ from the bottle shipped.
Gewürztraminer is the most perfumed white grape there is — lychee, rose petal, ginger — and the Golan's cold nights keep it from turning heavy. Yarden bottles it just off-dry.
Mood: Perfumed, exotic, aromatic.
Our sommelier says
The bottle to bring to spicy food. Its faint sweetness is the only thing on the list that handles real heat.
Tasting notes
Lychee, rose petal and a dusting of ginger. Rounded and just off-dry across the palate, with the aromatics carrying through. A long, floral, spiced finish.
Food pairing
Thai and Indian food, spicy chicken, and strong cheese. Also very good with schnitzel.
