Alexander Winery is Yoram Shalem's boutique estate in the Upper Galilee, named for his father and built around a serious Bordeaux program. The Grand Reserve is the winery's flagship, a long-aged, cellar-worthy blend released only in strong vintages.
Mood: Boutique, layered, ageworthy.
Tasting notes
Cassis, blackberry, cedar, cocoa, and a whisper of leather. Concentrated dark fruit, fine-grained tannin, and a warm oak-and-earth core. Long, structured, and quietly evolving with cellar time.
Food pairing
Uncork with a Yom Tov standing rib roast, aged rib steak, or a slow-braised short rib.
