Asti is Piedmont's sweet sparkler, made from Moscato Bianco and bottled with real pressure behind it rather than the soft fizz of a Moscato d'Asti. Bartenura's is the kosher benchmark for the style.

Pour it for a toast where a dry Champagne would leave half the table cold. Everyone finishes this glass.
Tasting notes
Ripe pear, peach and honeysuckle on the nose. Sweet and foaming across the palate, with the acidity keeping it from going cloying. A frothy, grapey finish.
Food pairing
Dessert, wedding toasts, sheva brachos, and fruit platters. Very good beside a rich chocolate cake.
