Rollover To Zoom
Bat Shlomo's flagship red, a blend of roughly 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Syrah from the historic moshava founded by Baron Rothschild in 1889. Fourteen months in French oak give the wine the structure to age, and the name 'Regavim' (clods of earth) honors the youth agricultural school that helps work the vineyards.
Mood: Earthy, Galilean, soulful.
Tasting notes
Ripe black cherry, plum and raspberry mingle with notes of cocoa, green tea and warm earth. The palate is medium-to-full bodied with polished tannin, dark berry fruit braided through cedar, sweet spice and a savoury herbal lift. The finish is long and balanced, dark fruit fading into oak, tobacco and a final note of damp earth.
Food pairing
Pair with a slow-roasted lamb shoulder, grilled steak, or a hearty Shabbos cholent. Excellent with aged hard cheeses, mushroom risotto, or a rib-eye on the grill.
