Islay Barley 2012 is from Bruichladdich's Barley Provenance series: an unpeated Islay single malt distilled in 2012 from barley grown on eight island farms (Coull, Rockside, Island, Mulindry, Starchmill, Cruach, Dunlossit and Sunderland), aged eight years in oak casks and bottled un-chill filtered and colouring-free at 50%.
Mood: Clean, coastal, terroir-driven.
