Our sommelier says
Matured exclusively in refill American oak ex-bourbon casks, the 12 Year stays bright and pale. Caol Ila's peat is gentler than its Kildalton neighbors—medicinal smoke wrapped in lemon oil and brine instead of tar.
Tasting notes
Lemon zest, beach bonfire, fresh oysters, a whisper of vanilla. Bright olive oil, smoked almonds, sea spray, green apple skin, a long peppery warmth. Long, dry, ashy—gentle smoke that lingers like a sea breeze after sundown.
