Carmel has been making wine in Israel since 1882, and King David Sacramental is its sweet Concord classic. This is the deep, grapey Kiddush red that generations have poured on Shabbos and at the seder.
Mood: Traditional, sweet, familiar
Tasting notes
Classic Concord on the nose, all grape jelly, ripe berry and a touch of violet. The palate is medium sweet and medium-bodied, with concentrated Concord fruit and a soft, plush texture. It finishes sweet, clean and unmistakably familiar.
Food pairing
This is the Kiddush bottle: it pours for HaGafen after davening and for the four cups at the seder. On the table it works with gefilte fish, honey cake and sponge cake.
