Rollover To Zoom
Made from Chenin Blanc grown in the Ehrhardt block of the Herzog vineyard in Clarksburg, California. A late-harvest white that walks the line between dessert wine and aperitif — honeyed but never cloying.
Mood: honeyed, balanced, dessert-table elegant.
Our sommelier says
"Chenin Blanc is the unsung hero of dessert wine — honey and apricot with enough acid to stay fresh. A small pour after dinner does the job perfectly."
Tasting notes
Aromas of honey, ripe apricot, quince, and a touch of beeswax. The palate is sweet and full with bright acidity that keeps it elegant. Finish is long, honeyed, and gently mineral.
Food pairing
Apple and pear desserts, custards, baklava, foie-gras-style apps, blue cheeses. Serve lightly chilled.
