Rollover To Zoom
Herzog Special Reserve Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon Generation VIII is a Napa Valley single-vineyard Cab from the Padis Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, marking the eighth generation of the Herzog family in the wine business. A collector-tier release from one of California's most iconic kosher labels.
Mood: Napa. Prestige. Collector.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts intense blackcurrant, cassis, ripe cherry, and a fine wisp of cedar and vanilla oak over a light herbal edge. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with black-fruit intensity, cocoa, tobacco, and a warm baking-spice note carried on firm ripe tannins with real cellar structure. The finish is long and generous, with lingering dark fruit, oak, and a subtle savory grip.
Food pairing
Reserve for the finest Yom Tov, wedding, and simcha meat courses: dry-aged steak, prime rib, rack of lamb, or a Shabbos brisket that deserves company. Cellar-worthy for 10-15 years.
