Rollover To Zoom
The Herzog family's commemorative release marking nine generations of winemaking — single-barrel Cabernet from Napa's Stags Leap AVA, 26 months in French oak, fewer than 1,000 cases made. Non-Mevushal, age-worthy, the kosher Cab benchmark.
Mood: Profound, rare, ceremonial.
Tasting notes
Huckleberry, black cherry, blueberry compote, with rose petal and warm spice in the lift. Deep garnet, full-bodied, layered with concentrated dark fruit, dark chocolate, and fine-grained tannin. Spectacularly long with spicy tannin and a perfumed close.
Food pairing
The cut of beef you only break out twice a year; a milestone simcha; aged hard cheese with a quiet table.
