Named for the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hevron - Murciano's reserve Cabernet-Merlot, twenty-four months in French oak, from the high Judean mountains.

Mood: The cellar bottle. The Yom Tov first night where the host puts out the wine that's been waiting for the occasion.

Our sommelier says
Deep garnet. The nose opens with spicy aromatics and a soft vanilla signature from two years in French oak, layered with plum and dark cherry. Cabernet leads on structure, Merlot rounds the mid-palate into something soft and rich. Full-bodied with fine, well-integrated tannin - the long oak time has done its work. The Hebron mountain elevation keeps the fruit lifted and the alcohol in check. Long, layered finish. Decant thirty minutes; built to hold in the cellar.

Tasting notes

Plum, dark cherry, spicy oak, soft vanilla. Full body, fine well-integrated tannin, soft rich mid-palate, oak-layered. Long, spice-driven, composed.

Food pairing

Standing rib roast, lamb shoulder, beef brisket, aged hard cheese (after the wait), Yom Tov seudah.
