Rollover To Zoom
Kedem's dessert-sweet bottle - richer and rounder than the Concord, made for the after-dinner pour.
Mood: After-cholent nap, fruit-and-cake dessert table, the bottle the bubbies ask for.
Our sommelier says
Dark ruby, with a richer, more dessert-leaning nose than straight Concord - cooked grape, raisin, a hint of toffee. The palate is plush and full-sweet, closer to a tawny in profile than a kiddush wine, finishing with a soft warmth. Mevushal and KFP, so it lives equally at a Shabbos seudah shlishit and a Pesach dessert course.
Tasting notes
Cooked grape, raisin, light toffee, candied cherry. Plush, sweet, rich, round body. Soft, warming, dessert-length.
Food pairing
Fruit, pound cake, baked apples, halvah, cheese plate (after the meat wait), the four cups for those who like it sweet.
