Rollover To Zoom
La Reina Raicilla Blanco is the unaged expression of Julio Topete Becerra's artisanal raicilla from the Western Sierra of Jalisco. 100% wild Agave Maximiliana, cooked in an upright adobe oven, mashed by hand with wooden mallets, fermented in white-oak vats, and double-distilled in stainless-steel pots.
Mood: clean-agave, ancestral, Jalisco.
Raicilla is Jalisco's other agave spirit, older than tequila and rarer than mezcal. La Reina's Blanco is the purest window into what wild Maximiliana agave tastes like, no oak, no filters, just the plant.
Tasting Notes
Bright cooked agave and green fig lift on the nose with white pepper and citrus zest. The palate is clean and silky, sweet baked agave, gentle mint, and a whisper of stone-fruit minerality. The finish is crisp and warming, softly herbaceous.
Food Pairing
Neat in a small glass with a squeeze of lime, or in a Paloma, Margarita, or Ranch Water. Also excellent alongside grilled fish, ceviche, and fresh guacamole.
