Rollover To Zoom
The world's benchmark sherried Islay. Sixteen years on the shore of Lagavulin Bay, in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry European oak, builds a whisky as deep and brooding as the Kildalton cliffs themselves.
Mood: The single dram you pour when the day asks for gravitas.
Tasting notes
Pipe tobacco, dark toffee, sea spray, dried figs, peat smoke, a swirl of orange peel. Rich and oily—peat, sherry-soaked raisins, leather, espresso, smoked malt, a long current of brine. Immense and meditative—lingering smoke, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and warming oak.
Food pairing
Dark chocolate truffles, stilton, smoked brisket, or simply itself.
