Rollover To Zoom
Lavie Hadar is a velvety Israeli orange liqueur — soft on the palate for a 40% spirit, and explosive on flavor. It reads like a cross between a proper Cointreau and a Grand Marnier: bright orange peel up front, warm sweetness behind it, real spirit for structure. A serious kosher alternative for any cocktail that calls for triple sec.
Mood: velvety, orange-bright, warming.
SOMMELIER SAYS
“Hadar is the kosher orange liqueur that finally makes a Sidecar the way it is supposed to taste — clean, bright, and just a little dangerous.”
Tasting Notes
Aromas of fresh orange zest, candied peel, and warm vanilla lift from the glass, with a faint bitterness behind them like the pith of the fruit. The palate is soft and velvety — sweet orange, honey, and light spice — before a medium finish that fades with orange oil and a touch of cocoa.
Serving & Pairing
Serves neat in a cordial glass, over one large cube, or as the citrus backbone in a Sidecar, Margarita, or Cosmopolitan. Pairs with dark chocolate, orange cake, cheesecake, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the end of a Shabbos meal.
