Rollover To Zoom
Leroux Creme de Cassis is a classic blood-red black currant liqueur, a bar staple for Kir Royales, spritzes and dessert splashes. The traditional flavor is drawn from the Dijon-region cassis tradition of Burgundy, France.
Mood: Sweet, currant, celebratory.
The workhorse cassis — reliable behind any bar, generous over ice, brilliant in a champagne flute.
Tasting Notes
Deep black currant leaps from the glass, backed by ripe berry and a soft floral lift. The palate is round and sweet, with concentrated black currant fruit, a jammy berry core and a smooth low-proof body. The finish is fruit-forward and clean, cassis lingering with a hint of berry skin.
Food Pairing
Best known in the Kir (with dry white wine) and Kir Royale (with brut Champagne). Splash over vanilla ice cream, drizzle into fruit salad, or shake into a cassis martini.
