Rollover To Zoom
Netofa Latour White is a single-varietal Chenin Blanc from Pierre Miodownick's Netofa Winery, planted on the light limestone foothills of Mount Tavor in Israel's Lower Galilee. A rare Israeli Chenin, dry and mineral, made in a decidedly Loire-inspired mold.
Mood: Old-world, mineral, boutique.
Sommelier's note
"A Loire Chenin with an Israeli passport. Green apple, honeycomb, a whisper of wet stone. Dry and precise. The insider's Shabbos white."
Tasting notes
Pale gold with aromas of quince, green apple, honeycomb, and a light mineral top note. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with pear, lemon peel, and a light beeswax texture. The finish is long, mineral, and gently saline.
Food pairing
Grilled fish, salmon, herbed chicken, mezze plates, aged goat cheese (dairy course), Shabbos day kiddush white. Also handles Sephardic starters and mild spicy dishes.
