Rollover To Zoom
Odem Mountain is the northern-most winery in Israel, founded in 2003 at 1,100 meters on the Golan's Mount Odem. Their Alfasi flagship is a serious, high-elevation Bordeaux-style blend built for the cellar.
Mood: Bold, alpine, structured.
A high-altitude Golan red with cellar-worthy structure — dark-fruited, firmly tannic, and unmistakably a mountain wine.
Tasting Notes
Cassis, black plum and blueberry lead, with cedar, graphite, tobacco and warm baking spice. Full-bodied with firm tannins, layered dark fruit and cool-climate acidity from elevation. Long, dark and lightly minty, with cedar and dark chocolate holding through.
Food Pairing
Pull this out for Shabbos prime rib, aged steak, braised short ribs, lamb shoulder and hard aged cheeses.
