Rollover To Zoom
Ouzo 12 is Greece's iconic aniseed spirit, distilled with a proprietary blend of aromatic seeds and herbs and rested to soften the finish. The classic apero of Athens and the Aegean, and a warm cousin of arak on any Sephardic table.
Mood: Anise. Warm. Mediterranean.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts aniseed, fennel, and a whisper of mint over a light herbal edge. The palate is warm and lightly sweet, with anise and licorice weight balanced against a smooth spirit and a soft floral spice. The finish is long and warm, with a lingering anise note and a clean spirit close.
Food pairing
Serve chilled with a splash of water (watch it louche milky-white) as an apero. Beautiful with mezze, grilled fish, olives, feta, and Sephardic salads. Also a warming digestif after a heavy meat meal.
