Solei is Pescaja's kosher expression of Arneis, the Piedmontese white grape, from the Terre Alfieri DOC that winemaker Beppe Pescaja helped create. Modern in cut, fragrant and clean, with a small percentage rested in new barriques for a whisper of vanilla lift.
Mood: fresh, modern, Piedmontese.
Piedmontese Arneis, kosher, done at a modern winemaker's high standard. Serve chilled, and it makes any pasta or fish plate look better.
Tasting Notes
The nose lifts white peach, pear, and lightly toasted almond with a whisper of vanilla from partial barrique aging. The palate is fragrantly fresh and balanced with citrus, green apple, and a warm, subtle finish of vanilla and orchard fruit.
Food Pairing
A Shabbos lunch and dairy meal favorite. Ideal with roast chicken, grilled fish, mushroom pasta, or a burrata-and-tomato plate. Also lovely as a bright kiddush pour.
