Rollover To Zoom
Greco di Tufo is one of southern Italy's two flagship white DOCGs, grown on the volcanic tuff soils of Irpinia where the mineral edge is written into every glass. Feudi di San Gregorio has been the standard-bearer for these indigenous Campania whites since 1986, and this kosher bottling brings that pedigree to the Shabbos table intact.
Mood: Volcanic, mineral, salty.
"You taste the tufo. This is what a serious southern Italian white is supposed to be — no shortcuts, no makeup, just Campanian mineral honesty in a kosher bottle."
Tasting Notes
Yellow peach, ripe pear and a whisper of chamomile lead a nose that carries an unmistakable saline pull from the volcanic soil. On the palate it's dry and taut, with citrus zest, green apple and stony minerality riding lively acidity. The finish is pleasingly bitter, almond-tinged, and long.
Food Pairing
Serves beautifully with roasted branzino, poached salmon, or a Friday night herbed schnitzel. Also delicious with dairy meals — mushroom risotto, lemony pasta, or a spread of Italian cheeses and grilled vegetables at a Sunday brunch.
