Rollover To Zoom
Palavani Merlot is a Georgian kosher take on the international classic, grown in the Kakheti region where wine has been made for eight thousand years. Medium-bodied, plush, and food-friendly — a Shabbos red with a real story behind it.
Mood: Plush. Grounded. Ancient.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts black cherry, ripe plum, and a soft note of cocoa over a light herbal edge. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with dark-fruit weight, cocoa, and a whisper of tobacco carrying through soft, ripe tannins. The finish is clean and warm, with a gentle savory close that pairs beautifully with food.
Food pairing
A natural pour with brisket, khachapuri, roast chicken, cholent, and Georgian meat stews. Also comfortable with grilled lamb and mushroom-heavy dishes.
