Rollover To Zoom
Wadi Shualim — "Valley of the Foxes" — is Pinto's Negev flagship, a Mediterranean blend of Grenache, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec from hand-harvested Yeruham fruit. Proof that serious Israeli wine can come from the desert, not just the Golan.
Mood: Desert, Mediterranean, warm.
"Pinto is a Negev story worth knowing — this is real Israeli desert wine, with a Mediterranean fingerprint you won't find in Judean Hills bottles. And they're doing it right."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-garnet. Nose of ripe blackberry, plum, Mediterranean garrigue and a hint of leather. The palate is medium-full with structured tannins, dark red and black fruit, warm spice, a whisper of dried herb and a faint saline-desert edge. Finish is long, mineral, savory.
Food Pairing
Made for Shabbos brisket, lamb shoulder, or a slow-braised short rib. Also excellent with grilled kebabs, mezze spreads, and North African tagine on a Motzei Shabbos table.
