Rollover To Zoom
Sforno is the kosher label from Bodega Riglos, a serious Uco Valley producer farming high-altitude Gualtallary fruit at 1,350 meters at the foot of the Andes. Pure black-fruit Mendoza Malbec at a weeknight price — mevushal, so it pours cleanly at the Shabbos table too.
Mood: Juicy, plush, easy.
"The best cheap Malbec on the kosher shelf right now — real Uco Valley fruit, real winery pedigree, and it drinks like a $25 bottle at $13."
Tasting Notes
Deep violet in the glass. Nose of ripe blueberry, black cherry and warm baking spice. The palate is medium-full with rounded, well-integrated tannins, dark berry compote and a whisper of vanilla. Finish is gently spicy, lightly warming and cleanly resolved.
Food Pairing
The Malbec you keep on hand for weeknight steak, Shabbos brisket, chicken shawarma or pulled beef sandwiches. Also solid with pizza night, cholent and grilled Argentine chorizo-style sausages.
