Cignozza Chianti DOCG is the entry red from La Cignozza, the Del Buono family estate south of Siena and one of the very few kosher Tuscan wineries. Bright, classic Sangiovese — sour cherry, fresh red plum, soft herb — with the food-friendly grip that built the Chianti category.

Tuscany barely has a kosher footprint, and La Cignozza is the producer keeping the flag up. The base Chianti is the easy, gulpable one — pasta night, pizza night, a Tuesday roast chicken. Don't overthink it.
Tasting notes
Sour cherry and red plum on the nose with light dried herb and a touch of leather. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and the classic Chianti tannic edge — savory rather than fruit-forward. Clean, lightly grippy finish that resets the palate for the next bite.
Food pairing
Pasta with red sauce, pizza, antipasto, weeknight roast chicken, eggplant parmigiana, mushroom risotto. The everyday kosher Italian red.
