Rollover To Zoom
Marquis de Greyssac AOP Bordeaux Rose is a 100% Merlot rose from Bordeaux — pale, dry, with real Merlot depth behind the fresh red-berry profile. OK-certified. A dry French rose for a Shabbos summer table.
Mood: Pale, Bordeaux, summer.
"A 100% Merlot Bordeaux rose is unusual — most kosher pinks are Provence-style Grenache/Syrah. This one has Merlot depth and a real Bordeaux structure. Interesting bottle at nineteen dollars."
Tasting Notes
Pale salmon-pink. Nose of red currant, wild strawberry, orange peel and a whisper of white flower. The palate is dry with cleanly balanced red-berry fruit, citrus zest and a subtle Merlot depth on the back palate. Finish is crisp, dry and refreshing.
Food Pairing
The summer Shabbos rose — pours with grilled salmon, cold chicken, tuna nicoise, or a Mediterranean spread. Also excellent alongside charcuterie-style spreads and a Chol HaMoed picnic.
