Rollover To Zoom
The Concord bottle that defined American kiddush - in the 1.5L that covers the whole table.
Mood: Friday night, every Friday night. Grape-juice drinkers, kids' kiddush cup, the seder default.
Our sommelier says
Deep purple, classic Concord on the nose - jammy grape, blueberry, candied fruit. The palate is sweet, round, and unmistakable, the flavor a generation of Shabbos tables grew up on. Soft tannin, no edge, finishes clean. Mevushal and kosher for Passover, so it travels from Shabbos to seder without a change of cast. The magnum is built for a full table or a weekend's worth of kiddush.
Tasting notes
Concord grape, blueberry jam, candied violet. Sweet, round, soft, jammy black fruit. Clean, gentle grape echo.
Food pairing
Friday-night kiddush, challah, sweet kugel, fruit compote, the four cups.
