Rollover To Zoom
Feudi del Pisciotto's Merlot is grown in the Val di Noto on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi nature reserve, then aged ten months in barrique to build weight and polish. A serious Sicilian Merlot at a fair kosher price.
Mood: Warm, dark, Sicilian.
"A generous, sun-warmed Merlot with real Sicilian character — softer tannins than Bordeaux, brighter fruit than California, and the mineral cut you only get from Val di Noto."
Tasting Notes
Ripe black cherry, plum jam and Mediterranean herbs open the nose alongside a hint of cocoa. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied with velvety tannins, dark fruit and a whisper of sweet spice from the barrique. The finish is warm, savory and lingering.
Food Pairing
Made for Shabbos brisket, lamb chops, or a good ribeye off the grill. Also shines with pasta Bolognese, eggplant parmigiana and aged hard cheeses on a Saturday night board.
