Rollover To Zoom
Semi-sweet Tempranillo from Bodegas Pinord's Penedes vineyards — fruit-forward without being dessert-sweet. Black cherry, raspberry jam, cocoa, vanilla. The friendly, sweet-leaning red for the Kiddush club.
Mood: Sweet-leaning, cocoa, easy.
"A Spanish Tempranillo with just enough sweetness to make it a crowd bottle — the cocoa-vanilla note is the tell. Sixteen dollars, mevushal, KFP: an easy call for a big table."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby. Nose of black cherry, raspberry jam, cocoa and a whisper of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied and off-dry with soft tannins, red-and-black berry fruit, a hint of chocolate and gentle sweetness. Finish is smooth, cleanly sweet and pleasantly persistent.
Food Pairing
A crowd-friendly pour for Shabbos brisket, weeknight burgers, or BBQ ribs. Also easy with chocolate-glazed desserts, sponge cake, and cholent at a big Motzei Shabbos party.
