Rollover To Zoom
Godet's Saint Louis is a French brandy from the historic Godet family — one of the oldest houses in Cognac, tracing back to 1588. Approachable, value-priced, marketed kosher for Passover. Vanilla, raisin, light oak — smooth easy-drinking brandy for the Yom Tov bar.
Mood: Smooth, easy, everyday.
"A friendly, value French brandy at $20 that's marketed KFP — a rare combination on the kosher shelf. Not fancy, just a smart weeknight sipper."
Tasting Notes
Bright amber. Nose of vanilla, dried raisin, light oak and a whisper of orchard fruit. The palate is soft and easy — dried fruit, gentle oak spice, a hint of caramel. Finish is smooth, gently warming and cleanly resolved.
Food Pairing
A neat after-dinner sipper with dark chocolate, coffee cake, or apple strudel. Also mixes cleanly in a Sidecar or Brandy Old Fashioned for the Motzei Shabbos bar.
