Rollover To Zoom
Godet is one of Cognac's oldest houses (founded 1588). Their VSOP is a refined mid-tier blend, marketed kosher for Passover — cognac with pedigree that hits the sweet spot between everyday and gift-worthy.
Mood: Refined, mid-tier, elegant.
"VSOP from a 400-year-old Cognac house, marketed KFP, at fifty-four dollars — this is the polite bottle you bring to the Yom Tov meal without breaking the budget."
Tasting Notes
Bright amber. Nose of vanilla, orange peel, dried apricot, light oak and a subtle floral note. The palate is rounded and refined with honeyed fruit, gentle oak spice, dried fig and a whisper of leather. Finish is long, warming and elegantly resolved.
Food Pairing
A neat sipper after seder or Yom Tov meal, in a snifter with dark chocolate, walnut cake, or hard cheeses. Also builds cleanly into serious Sidecars and Brandy Manhattans.
