Rollover To Zoom
Netofa Matzpen is a kosher Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre blend from the Lower Galilee, made in the classic Southern Rhone style: elegant, structured, and refined. Aged fifteen months in French oak by one of Israel's finest small wineries.
Mood: Refined. Rhone. Galilee.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts ripe raspberry, black olive, and dried herbs de Provence over a soft note of white pepper. The palate is medium-to-full bodied and structured, with red-fruit weight, garrigue savoriness, and a whisper of leather carried on fine ripe tannins. The finish is long, warm, and clean, with lingering pepper spice and a subtle mineral note.
Food pairing
A natural for slow-braised lamb, herb-crusted rack, roast duck, brisket, and Sephardic tagines. Also comfortable with grilled vegetables and hard cheeses.
