Rollover To Zoom
One of the rarest wines in the world: kosher red icewine. Tzafona Cellars in Niagara hand-harvests Cabernet Franc frozen on the vine — the resulting dessert wine is a strawberry-preserve, cherry-cordial, spice-laden treasure that only a handful of producers on earth attempt.
Mood: Rare, red, luxe.
"Red icewine is one of the rarest wine categories on earth — and kosher red icewine narrows it further. If you love serious dessert wine, this is unmissable."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-garnet. Nose of strawberry preserve, morello cherry, red currant and warm sweet spice. The palate is lush and viscous with concentrated red berry, cherry cordial, a whisper of vanilla and just enough acidity to keep it fresh. Finish is long, sweet-tart and unforgettable.
Food Pairing
Serve with dark-chocolate torte, cherry clafoutis, or a real Yom Tov cheese board with aged blue. Also a striking pour for Rosh Hashanah dessert and a very memorable seudah gift.
