Rollover To Zoom
Tzafona's flagship Vidal Icewine — frozen Niagara Vidal hand-harvested at −8°C and pressed at peak concentration. Honey, apricot, peach — kosher icewine done at world-class level, with the perfect Canadian balance of acidity and texture.
Mood: Honey, apricot, iconic.
"The Vidal is Canada's signature icewine grape, and Tzafona's expression is the kosher benchmark. This is what every kosher dessert wine wishes it could be."
Tasting Notes
Deep gold in the glass. Nose of concentrated honey, dried apricot, ripe peach, mango and a whisper of orange peel. The palate is lush, luscious and sweet with tropical fruit, honeyed stone fruit and just enough acidity to keep it fresh. Finish is long, viscous and unmistakably Niagara.
Food Pairing
The bottle that carries the Yom Tov dessert course — foie-style pâté, aged blue cheeses, crème brûlée, tarte tatin. Also traditional at Rosh Hashanah with honey cake, and at the Yom Kippur break-fast.
