Rollover To Zoom
The Butcher's Daughter Pinot Noir is the everyday red of La Fille du Boucher, Paris's trendiest kosher restaurant. A southern-French Pinot from the Pays d'Oc, mevushal and easy, this is the crowd-pleasing Shabbos red the neighborhood asks about.
Mood: bright, cherry, everyday.
Not the Pinot for the wine snob, but the one that goes down at every Shabbos table without argument. Cold-side friendly, sushi friendly, kids-at-the-table friendly.
Tasting Notes
Red cherry, cranberry, and a whisper of rose petal on the nose, with a light damp-earth lift. The palate is light-bodied and smooth, red-berry fruit and a gentle acidity carrying through. The finish is soft and clean, low tannin, easy to sip.
Food Pairing
A weeknight-to-Shabbos crossover: roast chicken, salmon en croute, mushroom pasta, sushi, or a Shabbos lunch chicken salad. Also holds up to hard cheeses and dried fruit.
