Rollover To Zoom
Covenant Black Label is Jeff Morgan's mevushal Cabernet Sauvignon — a restaurant-format bottling, sourced from top northern California fruit and made kosher-mevushal so it pours seamlessly at every kind of Shabbos table. A serious California kosher Cab that doesn't taste like a compromise.
Mood: Bold, polished, California.
"Mevushal Cab that doesn't feel like mevushal Cab — Jeff Morgan's fingerprints are all over the bottle, and it drinks like a serious northern California red. This is the pour when you don't know who's coming to dinner."
Tasting Notes
Deep opaque ruby. Nose of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar and a whisper of vanilla oak. The palate is full-bodied with rounded, ripe tannins, layered dark fruit, a hint of cocoa and warming oak spice. Finish is long, generous and cleanly resolved.
Food Pairing
Built for Shabbos brisket, Yom Tov ribeye, or a slow-braised short rib. Also excellent with lamb chops, hearty stews, aged hard cheeses on the Motzei Shabbos board.
