Rollover To Zoom
Bright Tempranillo from D.O. Yecla in southeast Spain — one of the few Yecla bottlings on the kosher market. Vegan-friendly production, fruit-driven and honest, at a serious weeknight price.
Mood: Bright, weeknight, honest.
"Kosher Yecla Tempranillo at fifteen dollars — the Old-World fruit is real, the vegan cred is a bonus, and it's the kind of bottle you keep on hand for a Tuesday-night burger."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby. Nose of ripe red plum, red cherry, dried herb and a whisper of leather. The palate is medium-bodied and juicy with soft tannins, red-and-black berry fruit, and a subtle Mediterranean spice. Finish is smooth, gently earthy and cleanly resolved.
Food Pairing
A weeknight red for Shabbos chicken, brisket, burgers, or pizza night. Also solid with Spanish-style meats, chorizo-style sausage, and aged Manchego-style cheeses on the Motzei Shabbos board.
