Rollover To Zoom
Farbrengen Dancing Series Port is a sweet, fortified-style red from Joseph Zakon Winery in New York — bottled for the Shabbos table, farbrengens, and Motzei Shabbos schmoozes. A friendly kosher port at a friendly price.
Mood: Rich, sweet, farbrengen.
"Not the wine you'd bring to a critic's tasting — but exactly the wine you want for a real farbrengen. Sweet, warming, and it pours easy after the fish course."
Tasting Notes
Deep opaque garnet in the glass. Nose of stewed cherry, plum jam, raisin and a whisper of warm spice. The palate is sweet and lush with dark berry compote, dried fig, and gentle heat from the fortifying spirit. Finish is warming, spicy and lingering.
Food Pairing
A classic pour after the seudah with chocolate babka, walnut rugelach, or aged blue-style cheese. Also a farbrengen staple — poured over ice with a slice of orange, or straight in a glass alongside honey cake, l'chaim style.
