Rollover To Zoom
Nocturna is the smooth, gently-sweet red from Yecla's Tres Buhis — the Spanish answer to Apothic, kosher-for-Passover under OU. Velvety, jammy black fruit, a soft tannic frame, and a touch of sweetness that makes it a crowd bottle.
Mood: Smooth, velvety, crowd.
"The kosher Apothic — smooth, jammy, gently sweet, and priced to keep four bottles on the table. Not for the critic, but exactly right for a big Yom Tov crowd."
Tasting Notes
Deep cherry-red. Nose of ripe blackberry jam, red plum, warm baking spice and a hint of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and velvety with rounded, well-integrated tannins, sweet dark fruit, and a delicate sweetness on the finish. Finish is soft, ripe and lingering.
Food Pairing
A crowd-pleaser for Shabbos brisket, weeknight burgers, pizza night, or BBQ ribs. Also solid with cholent, chocolate-glazed desserts, or a smoked-meat platter at a big Motzei Shabbos party.
