Rollover To Zoom
Lovatelli Vermouth Rosso is a Piedmont-made sweet vermouth from the rare native Slarina grape, infused with wormwood, cinchona, chamomile and rosehip. Mevushal under the OU — the kosher-Manhattan and Negroni bottle Jewish home bartenders have been waiting for.
Mood: Bittersweet, herbal, cocktail.
"Real Piedmont sweet vermouth, mevushal, at a kosher price — this is the missing piece for the frum home bar. Kosher Manhattans and Negronis just got possible."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruddy-brown in the glass. Nose opens on bitter cinchona and wormwood, then floral chamomile and rosehip. The palate is medium-sweet with vibrant lemon-orange citrus, caramelized sugar, gentian bitterness and a rounded herbal warmth. Finish is bittersweet, herbal, cleanly lingering.
Food Pairing
Build kosher Manhattans, Negronis and Boulevardiers with it, or sip over ice with a twist as an aperitif before a Yom Tov meal. Pairs well with olives, hard cheeses, cured foods and Italian antipasto.
