Rollover To Zoom
Widow Jane's flagship — rare 10-year straight bourbons from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, hand-blended in 5-barrel batches in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Non-chill-filtered, proofed with mineral water from the legendary Rosendale Mines. Kosher-Pareve certified — a rare thing at this tier.
Mood: Brooklyn, blended, layered.
"One of the very few 10-year premium bourbons with a real kosher certification — Widow Jane's blend is layered, non-chill-filtered, and drinks like the collector bottle it is. A cigar-and-Motzei-Shabbos essential."
Tasting Notes
Deep amber-mahogany. Nose of orange peel, cherry cordial, maple, roasted almond and warm oak. The palate is layered and generous — sweet corn, caramel, dark cherry, toasted nut, a whisper of leather and charred oak. Finish is long, spicy-sweet and lingering.
Food Pairing
A neat sipper — Glencairn or over a single large rock. Pairs with dark chocolate, pecan pie, aged hard cheeses, or a good cigar on Motzei Shabbos or in the sukkah.
