Tabor Mt. Tabor Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Tabor Winery vineyards in the foothills of Mount Tabor, in the fertile Galilee. Grapes are hand-picked at dawn and rushed to the adjacent winery for cold fermentation, giving the finished wine an enhanced, complex aromatic profile at a friendly price.
Mood: Honest, ripe, dependable.
Tasting Notes
Bramble fruit and violet on the nose set the frame, with lifted raspberry, lavender, and tobacco underneath. The palate is medium-full and dry with ripe cherry and cassis carried on approachable tannins. The finish is warm and lingering, closing on cedar and a whisper of oak.
Food Pairing
A natural partner for Shabbos brisket, grilled ribeye, and a slow-cooked cholent. Also handles roast chicken, meatballs in tomato, and a hearty kugel spread.
