Unlike the rest of the Clos15 line, which leans on the native Cava trio, the Rosé is built from red grapes — 65% Merlot, 35% Tempranillo — pressed off the skins early for a pale, dry style. Bodegas Pinord has farmed these small walled plots in Penedès for generations; clos is the local word for them, and the collection takes its name from the land.
Mood: Pale, dry, warm-weather.
Tasting notes
Pale salmon in the glass. The nose opens on fresh strawberry, red cherry, and a soft floral edge, with a light herbal note underneath from the Tempranillo. The palate is dry and crisp, showing red berry fruit, watermelon rind, and citrus over a clean mineral spine. The finish is bright and short, with no residual sweetness to weigh it down.
Food pairing
A summer Shabbos lunch natural — cold salmon, tuna salad, grilled chicken, and mezze spreads. Also handles lightly spiced dishes and a Sunday barbecue better than most whites. Serve well chilled.
