Dalton's Estate Merlot is oak aged and grown in the Upper Galilee, where the altitude keeps the fruit fresh. Softer and rounder than the Estate Cabernet beside it.
Mood: Round, soft, easy.
Our sommelier says
The gentler half of the Dalton Estate pair. Good for a table that does not want tannin.
Tasting notes
Ripe plum, blackberry and a hint of vanilla oak. Medium-bodied and smooth across the palate with gentle tannin. A soft, fruity finish.
Food pairing
Roast chicken, meatballs, pasta and a normal Shabbos dinner.
