Petite Sirah is the dark horse of Israeli reds — inky, thick-skinned and built for meat. Dalton grows this one in Shimshon, on the Judean foothills, rather than up in the Galilee with the rest of the Estate range.
Mood: Inky, bold, chewy.
Our sommelier says
Pour it with something fatty. Petite Sirah's tannin wants protein to work against.
Tasting notes
Blueberry, black pepper and dark chocolate. Dense and dark across the palate with big, grippy tannin. A long, peppery, dark-fruited finish.
Food pairing
Grilled steak, lamb kebab, and barbecue. Very good with anything off the coals.
