Petite Sirah is the dark horse of Israeli reds: inky, thick-skinned and built for meat. Dalton grows this one in Shimshon, on the Judean foothills, rather than up in the Galilee with the rest of the Estate range.
Mood: Inky, bold, chewy.
Tasting notes
Blueberry, black pepper and dark chocolate. Dense and dark across the palate with big, grippy tannin. A long, peppery, dark-fruited finish.
Food pairing
Grilled steak, lamb kebab, and barbecue. Very good with anything off the coals.
