Rollover To Zoom
Photo for reference. Vintage may differ from the bottle shipped.
Castel makes two whites, and the C is the lighter, fresher one — less oak than the Blanc du Castel, made to be drunk younger. Both come off the same Judean Hills terraces at Ramat Raziel.
Mood: Fresh, fine, restrained.
Our sommelier says
Serve it cool but not cold. Castel's whites have detail that disappears if you over-chill them.
Tasting notes
White peach, citrus and a light mineral note. Dry and precise across the palate with fine acidity. A clean, mineral finish.
Food pairing
Grilled fish, roast chicken, and a Friday-night first course.
