Gilgal is the Golan Heights Winery's straightforward label — the same fruit sources as its bigger brothers, made plainer and priced lower. This is the Cabernet and Merlot blend.
Mood: Simple, dry, sound.
Our sommelier says
An honest weeknight red from a winery that does not make bad wine. No decanting, no fuss.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant and plum with a light herbal note. Medium-bodied and dry across the palate with soft tannin. A clean, moderate finish.
Food pairing
Roast chicken, burgers, pasta and cholent.
