Rollover To Zoom
Judaica is Katlav's Bordeaux-style Judean Hills blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Petit Verdot, hand-picked from Nes Harim vineyards and aged in oak for the winery's trademark structure. A quiet, elegant boutique red from one of Israel's earliest garagiste houses.
Mood: layered, refined, cedar-and-cassis.
The three-grape architecture Bordeaux made famous, reworked in Jerusalem limestone. Serious wine for a serious meal, no shortcuts on the blend.
Tasting Notes
Blackcurrant, black cherry, and cassis on the nose, layered with cedar, dried herbs, and a faint violet lift from the Cabernet Franc. The palate is dry and full-bodied, plum, mulberry, and warm graphite spice framed by ripe tannins. The finish is long and savory, licorice and toasted oak carrying through.
Food Pairing
A Shabbos yom tov red for slow-cooked cholent, brisket with root vegetables, roast lamb, or a proper Shabbos steak. Also beautiful with hard aged cheeses.
