Matar is the kosher sister winery to celebrated Pelter, established so a mashgiach has free rein over a premium Chardonnay made with no compromise. Hand-picked Galilee fruit, eight months in oak, and a balance of richness and restraint.
Mood: Polished, restrained, refined.
Sommelier’s note
“Pelter pedigree, kosher rigor: a top-tier Israeli Chardonnay.”
Tasting notes
Jasmine, honey, ripe pear, and a touch of toasted oak. Medium to full-bodied with creamy pear, citrus zest, and subtle vanilla: never blowsy. Long, bright, and gently mineral.
Pairing
Pair with roast chicken, butter-poached fish, or a creamy mushroom risotto.
